Observations of The General Featured Soloist

A great composer is utterly more impressive than a great Featured Soloist.
A bad composer is utterly less impressive than a great Featured Soloist.
Today-with the Conductor the Featured Soloist has the spotlight at the orchestra, while the composers in residence are virtually unknown.
The Featured Soloist has the loftiest praises for the composers in residence.
The audience- when it attends- has no praise.
It seems that, because of his vanity, the Featured Soloist favors talentless composers over talented composers.
